Scarf Weather

It’s finally cool enough to pull out some of my trusty winter accessories!  I’ve always had a larger than life obsession with scarves, but I’m particularly fond of this one… the beautiful jade color and crinkle detail are just perfection.  It’s great for adding a bit of interest to an otherwise simple outfit.

In keeping with adding a little something to an outfit, this beautiful jeweled broach made its way to me all the way from Tokyo.  I was so touched that my sister was sweet enough to think of me when she vacationed there earlier this year.  She also brought back an amazing “happi coat” (pronounced hop-ee) which looks a lot like a kimono, but has straight sleeves, and comes about to my thigh.  It’s made of cream colored silk with the most amazing floral pattern.  I’m sure it will make its way into a post very soon… It’s just too good to keep to myself.  :)

What are some of your favorite winter layering pieces?

Jeans: J Brand, Top: Alternative Apparel, Jacket: H&M (similar styles here and here), Shoes: House of Harlow, Scarf: H&M (similar styles here and here), Bracelet: Pamela Love for Topshop, Watch: Michael Kors, Broach: gift from my sister from Tokyo
